Efficient reporting without media discontinuity: The integration of industry solutions via the e2050 connector significantly reduces the administrative workload for installers and distribution network operators.
Challenge
The data required to process the applications is often already available in the industry solutions used by solar installers, plumbers, and inspection agencies. Solar installers, for example, use the Solarstream industry solution, which brings together and supplements the relevant information from various peripheral systems. This gave rise to the desire to transfer this data directly to the distribution system operator's (DSO) reporting portal when creating an application, instead of re-entering it manually.
At the same time, it is crucial for distribution system operators that application data is complete and correct – and that only authorized persons can submit applications.

Solution
Efficient data transfer instead of manual entry
The application data is transferred directly from Solarstream and the final submission is still made via the portal. This means that there is no need to re-enter information that is already available in Solarstream. At the same time, the DSOs retain full control over who is allowed to submit applications.
The completeness and accuracy of the data is ensured, enabling efficient processing of applications. Status updates and confirmation letters are also transmitted via the interface and can be viewed in parallel in the reporting portal.
Maximum control and data quality for grid operators
This extension increases efficiency in grid processes and forms the basis for connecting additional industry solutions. Integration is carried out via the generic e2050 connector, which enables fast connection to ServiceNow. Solarstream users can set up the connection to the AEW reporting portal via a simple link and from then on submit applications directly from Solarstream.
Scalable integration thanks to state-of-the-art technology standards
The interface is based on current technical standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0, REST, JSON), is secure, and enables the connection of additional industry solutions. A clear dashboard also allows specialists on the distribution network operator side to monitor the interface.
